Having accumulated countless victories and having battled in hundreds of contentious cases over the years, Michael is routinely consulted by other Pennsylvania Lawyers, including other Pennsylvania Work Comp Lawyers, for advice about Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Law and how to litigate a case. He works for the well known Krasno Krasno & Onwudinjo Law Firm- recognized as a top law firm in America by US World News & Report. Michael is one of the firm’s top case and revenue producers. He manages the Blue Bell, PA office. However, Michael represents injured workers across much of Pennsylvania including Philadelphia, all Philadelphia suburbs, Lansdale, Doylestown, Bristol, Pottstown, Dresher, King of Prussia, Norristown, Main Line, Malvern, Upper Darby, Blue Bell, Skippack, North Wales, Chester, West Chester, Kennett Square, Folcroft, Downingtown, Allentown, Bethlehem, Wilkes Barre, Scranton, Poconos, Lancaster, Gettysburg, York, Harrisburg, Altoona, Lebanon, State College, Bloomsburg, Reading, Pottsville, Hazleton, Williamsport, Towanda, Bradford, Wellsboro, Smethport- and everywhere in between. Having practiced for well over a decade now, he is quite familiar with the Pennsylvania Work Comp Judges and what they are looking for in a particular case. He is one of the few attorneys in Pennsylvania who handles Act 534 and Heart and Lung cases for injured workers, in addition to the workers’ compensation cases which usually run parallel in a given matter. Act 534 and Heart and Lung, while similar to Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation, are distinct bodies of law with a separate process of adjudication. Settlement of cases involving Act 534 and Heart and Lung are more complicated than a non-state worker case- as such, it is important for injured workers who are on Act 534 or Heart and Lung benefits to obtain the type of representation that Michael gives, to ensure that their rights are being protected. Unlike many so called Pennsylvania Work Comp Lawyers who handle all kinds of cases, Michael strictly focuses on representing injured workers in Pennsylvania, rather than being a jack of all trades. This specialized focus gives his clients a big advantage and the results are evident. Michael is unique because he cares for his clients. He does not treat them like a file or “just another case”. His clients have the benefit of a highly intelligent lawyer on their side, but also someone who is friendly and professional, and who treats his clients with the respect they deserve. This is why injured workers across Pennsylvania are hiring Michael- to maximize their cases and settlements- and with someone who responds to their emails and phone calls and concerns. Michael has received countless comments from his clients regarding his responsiveness to their emails and messages. While it is not always possible to respond instantly to questions since he is often in court, he makes extraordinary efforts to get back to his clients within a few hours, if not sooner, depending on his schedule. When you hire Michael, you will contact him directly on his cell- no games with secretaries screening calls- just direct access to your lawyer. As a result of his success in representing injured workers across Pennsylvania, Michael has spoken at seminars regarding Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation topics and has been published in the Legal Intelligencer. He has also received a Pro Bono Services Award for his volunteer work helping a financially challenged Philadelphia resident obtain title to a property. Raised in North Wales, Pennsylvania, Michael attended Catholic grammar school at Saint Rose of Lima. After that, he attended Saint Joseph’s Prep in North Philadelphia where he rowed on the national powerhouse Prep Crew Team. Next, he attended Boston College where he majored in Philosophy and graduated in the top third of his class, making the Dean’s List for five consecutive semesters. Michael then attended Villanova University School of Law from 1996 to 1999 where he won membership to the prestigious Villanova University of Law Sports & Entertainment Law Journal after a rigorous writing competition. Michael’s father, Jeremiah J. Cardamone (deceased) was a well known Montgomery County Attorney who fought in court for over a decade in the famous Point Pleasant Pump Case- eventually winning the case for his clients, the North Penn and North Wales Water Authorities. Michael is proud to carry on his father’s legacy of fighting hard for his clients. Michael is a member of the American, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia Trial Lawyers, and Philadelphia Bar Associations, as well as a member of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice and WILG- Workers Injury Law and Advocacy Group. Outside of the law, Michael enjoys practicing martial arts, playing the drums, swimming, running, traveling, and good food! He is married, has two children, and resides in the Philadelphia area. Why do you need a Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Lawyer? Because your case is worth more with an experienced attorney on your side! Simply put, you cannot afford to fight the powerful insurance companies alone. The Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Law is complicated and the insurance companies and employers are hoping you don’t hire a lawyer. Be smart- whether you pick me or another experienced Pennsylvania Work Comp Lawyer, “lawyer up” and let us handle the legal issues while you focus on getting better. Some issues I can help you with include: Filing Penalties for late checks, evaluating your case for settlement, determining whether your doctor is really on your side when we need a deposition, advising you as to what forms you must or must not fill out, preparing you for a hearing, spending thousands of dollars that you may not have to take a deposition of your doctor, explaining how to prepare for an Independent Medical Examination, helping you formulate a plan to return to work, giving recommendations about medical treatment based on many years of experience in dealing with doctors and injured workers, and a host of other issues. If you are already receiving benefits, I will monitor your case at NO CHARGE. We only get paid if we enhance the value of your case. If we lose, we get nothing. And, we cover all costs.
